Adults blow a lot of hot air telling teens how to live their lives. Too much information is tiresome, right? Especially when it's not the kind of information you really want.
So we asked a lot of teens to tell us what they really want to know. And we asked them what would be the best way to give them that information.
The result is the Your Vision, Your Voice: Youth Summit that will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Delaware Technical & Community College-Dover Campus
It's a one-day,one-of-a-kind opportunity to ask questions and get straight answers on topics teens say they care about.
Do you wish you could talk openly about race without people getting all freaked out? Have you ever wanted to speakup in a crowd but been too scared to open your mouth? Do you worry about the whole college thing, whether it's worth it, whether you could really do it? Have you ever posted something online and regretted it later? Do you secretly wish you had better relationships? Or cared less about what other people say? Do you wish you felt better about your body?
The Youth Summit will be a safe atmosphere in which to share straight talk about the wishes and worries that all teens have. You'll come away with information that can ease your worries and maybe even make your wishes come true.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to look your question up on the FAQ's page, e-mail us at contest@yourvisionyourvoice.org or call 302-504-5232.
